ISLAMABAD – The Pakistani television industry has set a high bar for 2026 with the release of the trailer for “Zanjeerein,” a star-studded project featuring Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Ahsan Khan, and Danyal Zafar. The drama, written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Shahzad Kashmiri, has already started trending on social media across Pakistan, India, and the Middle East.
Focusing on themes of love, social restraint, and emotional credibility, “Zanjeerein” is being hailed as a return to writer-led storytelling. “We wanted to tell a story that resonates with the soul. The chemistry between this cast is something the audience has never seen before,” Director Shahzad Kashmiri told a digital magazine.
The drama is expected to break viewership records on YouTube, where Pakistani content continues to dominate the South Asian diaspora. Critics are calling it the most anticipated production of the decade, signaling a shift in TV’s mantra toward “strategy and scale.”
