LAHORE – Olympic hero Arshad Nadeem has officially begun his training camp for the 2026 Asian Games, following his recent participation in the World Sports Summit, where he met UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nadeem, who holds the Commonwealth Games record, is looking to add the elusive Asian Games gold to his collection.
“My knee is feeling much better, and my focus is entirely on breaking the 90m barrier again at the continental level,” Arshad said during a media interaction at the Punjab Stadium. His coach noted that the training program has been modernized, with improved sports science support from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
National sports analysts are optimistic about Pakistan’s medal prospects at the 2026 Games, citing Arshad as the primary hope. “Arshad has become a symbol of resilience. His success is driving a new generation of athletes toward javelin and track events,” a sports commentator stated.
